An information campaign on the violation of human rights of Greeks living in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) – organised by Greek-American organisations – was held outside the United Nations building in New York on Monday.
A representative for the US House of Representatives received the relevant resolution, which was conveyed to the UN and the US State Department. Chanting slogans like “Shame to FYROM” and “Justice Now”, Greek-Americans – most of them young people – as well as the leaders of expatriate Greek organisations, were present at the peaceful demonstration, which distributed informative leaflets to the public.
